RAW 2/28/11 John Cena Cage Match

WWE comes to us from Buffalo and we get to start the show with Triple H. Once again Michael Cole is not at the commentators desk due to Jerry being there. Triple H does his water spit thing and goes to the turnbuckles to pose for the crowd. Triple H gets a mic and before he can talk the crowd goes nuts for him again, and then again. He finally gets to talk and the first thing he says is, “it's good to see you too.” Triple H says he has done everything there is to do in the WWE and he has defined PPVs and has been the WWE Champion 13 times in the last 16 years of his career. He says for 16 years he's outlasted everybody but one person, the Undertaker. Hunter says that the Deadman and he are the very simular and they both may have come to the realization that there are no big tests anymore. Hunter says that Undertaker keeps going because of his streak, and now Triple H is the only challenge he has left. Hunter says that only challenge he has left is ending Taker's streak. He says the last two legends will meet and on that night nothing else will matter. He says at Wrestlemania the Undertaker has only one thing left, the streak and if the streak dies than so too will the Undertaker. Hunter says at Wrestlemania he too only has one thing left, the streak. If he can't end it he will die trying.

Sheamus' music hits and he comes out pointing at Triple H and he comes down to the ring. Sheamus gets in the ring and as he is coming through the rope Triple H kicks him in the nether regions. Hunter throws Sheamus out of the ring and starts pounding away on him before throwing him into a ring post. Triple H clotheslines Sheamus over the barricade. Sheamus gets flopped onto the commentators desk and Triple H gets him into the Pedigree. Sheamus gets the Pedigree through the desk, I guess that answers the Triple H vs Sheamus return angle since Sheamus took him out months ago.  

When we come back from commercial Sheamus is just being taken away from the destroyed table. The RAW GM chimes and Jerry reads that the GM knows that Sheamus just got attacked by Triple H and he is still going to have it. Against......EVAN BOURNE!

Sheamus can barely stand and Bourne starts the match with a big drop kick. Bourne hits a big jump kick and then hits Air Bourne for the 3 count.

After the match Michael Cole is announced and he comes out under the moniker “The voice of the WWE.” Cole comes down to the now destroyed announce desk with a huge smile on his face. We go to commercial. We come back and Cole is in the ring with a mic. Cole wants Jerry in the ring with him when he says what he has come to say. Cole reminds Jerry that if he hits Cole he's fired first off. Cole asks Jerry if he think he intimidated Cole last week. Cole says that there is no one in the world with more guts than him (laughable) Cole says no to Jerry's Wrestlemania challenge, unless Jerry accepts two conditions. First if Cole's trainer can be in his corner and two he gets to choose the special guest ref. Jerry says he doesn't care if he has the dark knight, king kong, simba, and superman in his corner the answer is yes. I bet that Vicky is the ref and Dolph is the trainer. Now we find out the trainer is, Jack Swagger......I don't really understand this move. Cole acts all big and tough from behind Swagger and even slaps him in the face. Jerry tries to get past Jack and does only for Swagger to put him in the Ankle Lock. Cole gets down in Lawler's face and keeps saying what do you think like some idiot who can't talk right.

We come back from commercial and Cole is spraying Lawler's headset for germs and gets all riled up like an idiot.

Orton comes out and gets a mic. Orton says that Punk was right about something. When he punted CM Punk he made the biggest mistake of his life. He should have punted Punk harder. He says that faith can't save him. Orton says the next time he punts Punk he'll break his neck and he'll spend the rest of his life in a rehab center eating from a straw. The only thing he'll have is the faith that failed him. The New Nexus comes out. Punk calls Orton a predictable hypocrite. Punk says Orton wants to put Punk in a rehab center, Punk wants to put Orton in the ground. Before Nexus get in the ring the GM chimes in again. Cole says that Josh can read this one. At Wrestlemania CM Punk will face Orton. Over the next few weeks Orton will face all the members of Nexus. If the Nexus member wins they can be in Punk's corner at Wrestlemania. If Orton wins that member can't even come out to the ring at Wrestlemania.

Michael backs Orton to the corner but Orton hits Michael with a short arm clothesline and then misses his high knee drop. Orton dodges a clothesline and hits one of his own knocking McGillicuty out of the ring. Commercial. We come back and Michael hits Orton with a drop kick for a 2 count and then another pin for a 2 count. Orton tries to fight back but Michael hits a low knee and then a snapmare. Michael hits a second rope throw back and gets a 2 count. Michael puts Orton in a rear naked choke but Orton fights out with a back suplex. Orton hits a boot and then two clotheslines and a scoop slam. Orton hits his trademark back breaker and Michael rolls out to the apron. Orton hits his second rope DDT and starts pounding on the mat. Orton RKO! 3 count Orton eliminates Michael McGillicuty from Wrestlemania.

We come back from commercial and the Miz is coming down to the ring. Michael Cole says a bunch of things that I can't understand since I don't speak crazy. The Miz says that called out the Rock last week and he is only responding to Cena. The Miz says it is because the Rock knows the Miz is right. The Rock, and Cena are no longer the biggest star in WWE. The Miz says that he is. He says that he is the reason that people are in the arena and he says that he the face of the company. The Miz talks about last week when Cena and him won the belts. Miz syas he won the WWE Tag Team Titles, Cena lost the titles, that is true to a degree. The Miz says he will beat Cena at Wrestlemania and he says that on the same night he will beat the Rock. He says that after that The Miz will be the greatest superstar of all time.

Cena's music hits and the crowd give Cena's a big pop. Cena gets a mic and says he has very important news. Cena says that he and the people are sick of hearing the Miz talk. Cena syas the Miz is not well. Cena pulls out a large piece of paper that says Doctor's Note. Cena says that Miz has OCD. Cena says he is obsessive with being awesome and that in reality the Miz is actually below average. Cena says a bunch of strange things like the Miz pees into milk jugs. Alex Riley tries to make fun of Cena. Cena puts his arm around Miz and says that Alex Riley is like a fish gasping for air, he says he should basically get rid of Alex Riley. The Miz asks Cena if he is playing with Miz's mind or if he is afraid of A-Ri. Cena says that maybe Miz should be co-WWE champs and they can move in together and become couples. Cena says tonight he wants a match with Alex. He says if he wins Riley is fired. The Miz says that he accepts on one condition. The Miz says that he will not interfere, but if Riley wins than Cena has to publicly announce that Miz is the greatest superstar of all time. Cena asks if Miz has been in outer space, he lists all the stuff he's gone through in the last year and than accepts the rule.

The RAW GM chimes in again and basically says that to keep the Miz's word the match will be in a steel cage. The only way to win is to escape the cage. So through the door?

One of the Bella's is quickly eliminated and then so is Alisha Fox. Maryse eliminates Melina and Natalya. The last three Diva's left is Maryse, Gail Kim, and Bella 1 or 2. Maryse is eliminated and then Gail Kim eliminates the Bella but the other Bella rolls in and eliminates Gail Kim. Eve gets in the ring to contest the decision but the Bella's beat her down and then leave. So number 1 contender Bella 1 or 2.

We get a video with Shawn. He says that he was happy when he heard about the match for Triple H and he says that he is honestly a little angry that he couldn't beat the streak himself. He can only describe facing the Undertaker as facing a mountain. He says that being in the ring with Triple H he has never seen a hint of compassion. He says that that would be the reason why Triple H can beat Undertaker. He says that the word epic really wouldn't do this match justice. He says he hopes Triple H wins but he can't be sure how he will feel until after the match.  

While Bryan is coming down to the ring The Miz attack Bryan. The Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale on Bryan outside the ring. Miz grabs a mic and says he did that because he can. He says he is done waiting and calls for the cage match between Alex and Cena.

Some technical difficulties and I finally get back to RAW and Cena is hitting a scoop slam on Alex. Cena goes to the door but Miz stops him from exiting the ring. Riley throws Cena into the cage twice. Alex pushes Cena's face against the cage and Miz gets up and takes a picture of Cena's face. Miz slides his phone into the ring and Alex smashes the phone against Cena's head. Riley crawls to the exit but Cena catches him. Miz tries to pull Riley out but John wins the tug of war. Cena puts Miz in the STF. Cena climbs the catch but Miz grabs a chair and threatens Cena. Riley hits Cena with an electric chair drop. Commercial break. We come back and Riley is just standing up and Alex hits Cena with a couple of big punches but misses a drop kick. Cena hits two shoulder blocks and a reverse slam. Five Knuckle Shuffle and Cena measures Riley. Cena tries the Attitude Adjustment but Riley climbs the cage. Cena tries to stop Riley and the two fight on the ropes. Cena falls and Riley climbs to the top. Cena climbs up and Cena forces Riley back to the top rope. Cena hits a top rope bulldog. Attitude Adjustment connects this time and Cena grabs the phone that Riley hit him with it. Cena takes a picture of Riley with the phone and Miz. Miz tries to stop Cena from exiting the cage. Cena over powers Miz and wins the match. Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale on Cena but now Riley is fired from the Miz. I guess Riley is going back to OVW now.

This really feels like last weeks RAW only the words have changed nothing new really happened except Riley is no longer under Miz's tutelage. I must also say that I am a little disappointed with the way The Rock, Cena thing is going. I have a hard time listening to promo's even by the Rock when he is just sounding like a hypocrite.
