The village sends out their young water priestess to go and search for samurai that would be willing to help them with the only available payment being rice. At first the search is difficult because all they manage to find is a young teen who hasn't even seen battle or killed someone. After some more searching they find a true samurai who doesn't join at first and tells them that every fight he's been in he has lost. With this samurai they set out to find six other samurai to help save the village. Can just seven samurai save an entire village from giant mechanize ex-samurai.

My Review

This anime was kind of rough for me to watch in some spots there is nothing wrong with the anime I just had a tough time enjoying it I guess. I love, I repeat LOVE, sword fights in anime and you'd think an anime about samurai would be right up my ally but you'd be wrong. While there are sword fights they are not all that spectacular and pain in comparison to fights in anime like Ruroni Kenshin or Samurai Champloo. The characters are all different and similar in many ways which is good for the show and makes it easy to like every one of the main samurai characters but like I said before the anime is just bland to me. The fights are not overly graphic and their is no nudity or overly crude situations so kids probably 12 and up would be a good age for watching this anime. I'd say that even younger children could watch this anime but people die in it so that might not be so good for little kids to see.
