TNA 2/17/11

We open impact with Immortal coming down to the ring, Eric needs a hair cut let me tell ya. Eric introduces the new TNA Champion Jeff Hardy. Bischoff tells the crowd to cheer for the Champ. The screen splits and it shows Ric Flair out in the parking lot coming to the arena. Eric tries to tell everyone that the rest of Immortal is better than everyone even though Gunner, Murphy, Rob Terry, and Matt Hardy all lost at the PPV. Eric says that the guys from the TV network want to see Jeff Hardy vs RVD tonight. Eric says he's been calling Ric Flair for weeks and he's hasn't heard from him. Eric says he is wondering where Ric is in all of this and he doesn't like that. Before Eric finishes what he is saying Ric Flair comes out. Ric knuckle bumps all the members of Immortal. Ric starts in on Eric saying that no one can tell Ric Flair to do not even Eric. Ric takes off his coat and reminds everyone that he is apparently a wrestling god. Ric says that Eric can't question him until people start calling Eric god. Ric says he will see them later before really saying anything. He walks up the ramp with WOOOs.

We have a stupid segment of Jarrett and Karin talking about the vow renew ceremony while getting their backs rubbed.

We come back from commercial and Fortune and Immortal are fighting in the back. AJ has some Rey Mysterio looking pants on. Security and Al Snow come in and break up the fight.

Hernandez is in the back talking to Sarita and Rosita in spanish.

While Doug Williams is coming down the ramp Hernandez hits him from behind and throws him into the steps twice and then into the ring for the opening bell. Super Mex chokes Doug with his towel and Velvet and Angelina and the girls outside of the ring start fighting. Hernandez tosses Williams from one side of the ring to the other. Hernandez lifts Doug over his head and hits the Border Toss. Williams literally lands on top of his head and very well could be injured now. Hernandez pins and wins.

We go to Eric's office and he is on the phone. Telling someone from the network to try and make them reconsider the Jeff vs RVD match tonight. Apparently it doesn't go his way as the match is still on.

We come back from comercial and the Pope is in the ring with a big dead cooked pig on a table. Pope introduces himself and says he was like a lion and chased down a big fat hog until it drew blood. Pope says that tonight he will perform a miracle he will feed all the members of the impact zone with just the pig being called sloppy joe. Thankfully before he cuts up the pig Samoa Joe comes out. Before Pope can run away Hokado kicks him in the gut and Joe starts pummeling away on the Pope before hitting the Muscle Buster through the pig and the table. Joe shoves the apple in Pope's mouth.

We are back from comercial and Robbie E and Cookie are in the ring and Robbie is complaining about Kaz. We go to the back and Kaz gives his wife Tracy Brooks a kiss and comes out to the ring and gets a mic. Kaz says that he promised he would bring the X Division back to the forefront of TNA. He says TNA was built by the X Division. Kaz tells Robbie if he wants a match he has to send Cookie to the back. Cookie leaves the ring and the match starts. Robbie hits Kaz into the corner and hits an odd arm twist falling cloths line for a 2 count. Kaz fights back and catches a kick and hits one of his own and then hits a spring board back elbow for a 2 count. Kaz flips out of a back suplex and hits a spinning heel kick. Before Kaz can hit the inverted tombstone Cookie comes back out and hits Kaz in the face with a big purse. Cookie and Robbie start beating on Kaz and as Robbie goes to get a weapon Tracy comes down to the ring and tackles Cookie. Robbie pulls cookie out of the ring and Kaz holds Tracy back in the corner.

We go to the back and Ric is hanging out with Fortune and he Ices all of Fortune and since AJ has a match Ric drinks his. It was silly but fun I guess.

Back from another commercial and Matt Hardy is coming to the ring. I just noticed that his tron is reminiscent of his 2000's V.1 gimmick. AJ runs into the ring and the two stars fighting. AJ throws Matt out of the ring and hits Hardy with a flipping dive over the top rope. AJ tears off his pants revealing his normal looking ring gear. Hardy hits AJ with a Side Effect and only gets a 2 count. Ric Flair comes down to the ring coaching Styles. Matt has AJ in an modified headlock but AJ naturally fights out but Matt rakes AJ eyes. AJ hits a cloths line then a back elbow and goes for the Styles Clash but Matt fights out. AJ goes to the top rope but Ric knocks him off and Matt hits the Twist of Hate. Hardy pins AJ for the three count. Fortune run down to the run and chase off Ric and Matt. Once again I have to say that TNA needs a bigger ring because during a back and forth moment AJ leap frogged Matt and then laid down and Matt tripped over AJ because as soon as he turned around AJ was right at his feet.

Back from yet another commercial break and Anderson is coming down to the ring and he is pissed and why shouldn't he be RVD gets a title shot tonight instead of him though he just lost his title. Anderson calls out Bischoff and Eric comes out. Ken gets right in Eric's face and makes it known that he didn't know that RVD had a shot he was told by the boys in the back. Eric says that Jeff is the champ and that the network wanted RVD vs Jeff. Anderson gets even closer and says since when did the network get a say in what happens. Eric basically says the network pays the checks so if they want something they get it because ratings are important. Eric says the language and other things of a non PG nature might be the reason for the network not liking him. Ken flips out and starts calling Eric an asshole and asks if the network doesn't like the word asshole and says the word a whole bunch of times. He is about to attack Eric when Bischof says that he will put Ken in the main event. As the special guest referee. Eric says to call the match down the middle and he will get his chance again. They shake on it until Anderson hits the Mic Check on Eric and says he will get his title shot one way or another.

We go to the back and Velvet is yelling at Winter and Winter grabs a pair of scissors and looks like she is about to stab Velvet. Angelina comes into the room and once again Winter makes Velvet jealous and the two girls get more irritated with each other.

We are back from our like sixth commercial and AJ is in the back shouting about what Ric just did to him. AJ wants Ric next week on impact now on to our TNA knockout match.

The Beautiful People come out of the ring and attack Sarita and Rosita and Velvet throws Sarita into the ring to start the match. Velvet hits a corner cloths line into a bulldog. Sarita tags out and so does Velvet and Angelina hits a drop kick to Rosita. Angela hits a front slam and Sarita gets back into the ring and Angelina hits a modified back breaker. Velvet tags in and Sarita hits a low blow on Velvet... Now I experienced some technical difficulties and when I finally get back to seeing what is happening Velvet has once again lost to Sarita and Velvet is apparently very unhappy. Sarita says if Velvet wants to face Sarita again why not raise the steaks so now in the future we have a possible career ending match.

We are outside somewhere and Kurt is getting in his car and says he is going to to Karin and Jeff's little dinner party.

We are back from comercial 7000000 and Madison Rain is talking to Tara about her opening an open challege to any woman in the world. Scott Steiner has a short promo about shoving his fist down Rob Terry's throat.

Bully Ray comes out to the announce desk and asks that what he did to Devon's kids at the PPV Spike TV won't show it. Tenay says yes and Ray laughs about it. Taz tells Ray to chill and to walk away. Ray says he will do what he wants to do. Taz tells him he crossed the line last Sunday and Ray says that he will walk away when he wants to and knocks the headset off of Tenay's head.

Anderson comes out and says that he knows that this is not about him but for all the assholes in the building he is still Mr. Anderson.....Anderson. Anderson is still clearly in a very dark unhappy place as he skulks down to the ring. Jeff does a Lady Gaga Grammy entrance where he breaks out of an egg. Yes I'm serious. The match begins with RVD landing a few quick punches and and hits an arm drag on RVD. RVD puts Jeff on top of the ring ropes and then hits a flying kick knocking Hardy off the ropes. Hardy rolls out of the ring and RVD hits a drop kick and then puts Jeff on the barricade and hits his spinning leg drop. Comercial break #234238923001.

Back to Impact and Jeff is down in the ring and RVD hits a sling shot leg drop for a two count. RVD hits a few corner shoulder blocks and hits a front slam. RVD tries the split leg moonsalt but Jeff gets his knees up. Jeff quickly hits a drop kick on RVD and knocks him out of the ring. RVD rolls back in but Jeff starts pounding away on him and hits a front suplex for 2. Hardy puts RVD in a headlock and RVD fights out. Jeff tries and misses a Whisper in the Wind and RVD quickly hits a standing moonsalt but doesn't go for a pin. Rob hits a few punches and then a corner kick followed by the Rolling Thunder. RVD gets the two count and again. RVD hits a counter spin kick taking Hardy down hard. RVD goes to the top but Hardy pushes him off and RVD hits his chest on the railing. Jeff goes out and brings RVD back into the ring. Jeff goes to the top ropes and hits the Swanton Bomb but only for a 2 count and Jeff gets in Anderson's face. RVD hits a big spinning feint kick and then the Five Star Frog Splash but before the three count Hardy puts his foot on the ropes. Anderson get's put in the corner by Jeff who hits a low blow while Anderson can't see it and then hits the Twist of Hate. Anderson glares right at Hardy as he counts to 3 for the Jeff Hardy title defense.

After the match Anderson hits a Mic Check on Hardy and before he continues RVD pulls him off Jeff and asks him why he is so mad he didn't just lose. Anderson says you're right and hits a Mic Check and we are done with tonight's TNA event.
