TNA Against All Odds

Against All Odds comes to us from the TNA Impact Zone. Before the PPV starts it should be known that Generation ME members Max and Jeremy had travel issues to make from Utah to Orlando.

Robbie E comes out from the back looking much happier than he was on Thursday's Impact most likely because his opponents couldn't show up. As Robbie puts it the good news is that Robbie E is the new number 1 contender. The bad news is that Robbie doesn't get to wrestle tonight. Robbie still wants the ref to count out Gen ME. The bell rings and the count starts. For every count Robbie E fist pumps like a chump. The new number one contender starts celebrating more than when he won the X Division Title the first time. Taz makes it known that Kaz is going to face him tonight for the title but it appears Robbie doesn't realize it. Out comes Kazarian and he says that as a member of Fortune Kaz can't let there be no X Division Title match tonight. So Robbie E and the filthy little garden gnome vs Kazarian and the match starts now. Kaz throws Robbie down the ramp into the ring. Kaz hits a big cloths line and then an either bigger gut wrench slam. Kaz is dismantling Robbie E and after a spinning heel kick Kaz picks up the two count. Kaz hits a big kick to the chest and knocks Robbie E out of the ring. Cookie distracts Kazarian and Robbie E makes Kaz fall from the apron face first into the ring steps. They get back into the ring and Kaz fights back before getting a big boot and then a second rope fist drop for a 1 count. Robbie hits a corner spear and then chokes Kaz with his boot. Rob hits a slam and covers for a 2 count. The count is definitely not behind Mr. E as they chant “Robbie Sucks.” Robbie puts Kaz in a modified rear naked choke. The crowd claps Kaz back to his feet and Kaz is whipped into the corner. Robbie E tries to hit a running shoulder block but Kaz moves out of the way and hits a spring board drop kick and then a spring board leg drop for the 2 count. The inverted tombstone is revered but Kaz rolls up E for a two count. Kaz is about to come off the ropes when Cookie hits Kaz in the head with her boot and Robbie E gets a 2 count. Kazarian hits the inverted tombstone aka the Fade to Black out of no where and gets the three count.

We go to the back with Steiner and Beer Money. Steiner cuts one of his famous promos where I don't understand a thing he says. Luckily Roode takes the mic and tells his oponents that they chose the wrong place and wrong people to face. James Storm makes the crowd start a you suck chant before they do there BEER.....MONEY chant and then leave.

AJ Styles comes out and joins Tenay and Taz at the commentators table.

Big Poppa Pump starts against Gunner and Steiner starts the match with a shoulder block and some big punches. Steiner hits two belly to belly suplexes before Rob Terry gets tagged in and the Freak starts poses showing off his muscles before Steiner kicks him before the belt. Steiner drops his elbow and does his push ups. Murphy tags into the match. James Storm tags in and hits an inverted atomic drop and then a Russian Leg Sweep. Gunner tags in and Storm hits a hangman's neck breaker for a 1 count. Storm is thrown out of the ring but he “skins the cat” back into the ring and hits a few cloths lines before a big back body drop. The ref gets distracted and Storm is stuck in the wrong corner and starts getting worked over by Gunner and Murphy. Murphy puts Storm in a Steiner Recliner like hold before James fights out of it. Once again the Ref is distracted and Rob Terry enters the match. The Freak hits a power slam for 2. Storm counters a slam and hits a Back Stabber. Storm tags in Roode and Robert Roode starts taking apart everyone of his opponents. Roode hits a second rope neck breaker for a 2 count. A possible 3 count is broken up and The match starts to fall apart. Rob Terry attacks Steiner outside of the ring but comes back in just in time to get double suplexed followed by BEER.......MONEY!!!! The Double R Spine Buster stops Gunner and Murphy and then Roode fights out of a Choke Slam for one more Double R. Roode tags in Steiner and Steiner hits the top rope Frankensteiner for the win.

We are going to the back with Devon and his sons. Devon says he doesn't want his sons to be anywhere near Bully Ray tonight and will stay in the back. He says he won't let his sons get hurt by Ray.

Now we have a Samoa Joe, D'Angelo Dinero promo. Before the match starts I got to say I think he's gotten bigger, but I still like watching him wrestling.

Pope rolles out of the ring and sports his “Pope's gonna kill you” trunks before slowly getting up on the apron and then back in the ring. Joe nearly gets his rear naked choke in but The Pope falls straight down avoiding the hold. The Pope rolls out of the ring and is about to leave when Joe's camera man comes down and make Dinero head back to the ring just to be hit with a suicide dive. The wrestlers get back in the ring and on his second try D'Angelo hits a suplex on Joe. Joe gets up right away and whip The Pope into the corner and Joe hits his body block, spinning kick combo. He then hits his running boot to the face while The Pope is sitting in the corner. The ref makes Joe back off and Dinero pokes Joe in the eye. Dinero hits a double knee strike and now has the match in his favor. Samoa Joe tries to fight back but a cloths line takes Joe down. The Pope is now in control of the match and Joe is staggering. The Pope hits a swinging neck breaker for a two count. Dinero goes to the second rope and gets hit by an inverted atomic drop and a body slash for a 2 count. Joe hits a snap scoop slam for another 2 count. Dinero hits Joe square in the face with his knee and knocks Joe down. The Pope tears the padding off the turnbuckle. Samoa Joe is rolled up but the move is countered into a Rear Naked Choke and The Pope taps out right away without even trying to get out. Joe and Dinero share some words and The Pope extends his hand Joe just slams his hand and Joe gets hit with an uppercut to the jaw and then gets his face thrown into the exposed turnbuckle. The Pope then hits the DDE. Joe stands up revealing a cut in his face and Dinero quickly rolls out and backs out of the Impact Zone smiling.

Que up the Madison Rain, Mickie James Promo.

Madison starts the match with momentum and throws Mickie out of the ring then throws her into the rings steps. Mickie gets in the ring then throws Madison out of the ring. Madison starts to leave the Impact Zone but Mickie comes out and the two start brawling outside the ring. After a five count Mickie gets back up and whips Madison into the ring post. Mickie throws the Knockout Champ back into the ring but Madison hits a neck breaker and Mickie gets up after about a seven count. Mickie hits Madison out of the ring and Mickie hits a cross body like maneuver and both women are down till seven. Madison Rain disappears under the ring and then so does Mickie. Rain appears on the other side of the ring as does Mickie. James hits a pump kick and Mickie throws Madison back into the ring. Madison makes Mickie fall from the turnbuckle to the floor. Mickie gets up at a nine and a half count. Mickie hits a Thez Press from the top rope and then steals Madison's “Loaded Glove” Tara runs down and gets hit with the glove Mickie and Tara fight distracting the ref. Madison pulls brass knuckles out of her boot and clocks Mickie and she stays down for the ten count and Rain retains the title.  

Matt Morgan comes down to the ring in street clothes and the crowd starts chanting for him. Morgan calls out Hernandez who comes down right away. Morgan threatens to beat Hernandez if he doesn't explain himself. Hernandez says that America is looking for the next great white hope. He says that is why he went to Mexico where he was appreciated, not like here where Hernandez is treated like a second class citizen. For being an anti america heel Hernandez gets a few big cheers. Before Morgan can say anything Hernandez hits Morgan in the nether regions with his knee. Super Mex picks up Matt and hits a Death Vally Driver.

We go to the back and Matt Hardy is being interviewed. He says that he has always been the good guy and it never got him anything. He says because Jeff left the WWE for TNA he was punished and it turned Matt cold. He says that is 3-0 against RVD and he will finish the final chapter in this Matt Hardy, RVD story.

I must say Matt Hardy looks better than he has in probably the last five years he is probably close to the same weight as his brother right now. So congrats for that Mr. Hardy.

The two superstars lock up and then start punching each other back and forth. RVD wins the striking match with a kick. RVD tries to hit a monkey flip but Hardy holds him and drops him face first into the turn buckle. Matt has the momentum for a few seconds just long enough for RVD to hit a hit spin kick on Hardy knocking him out of the ring. Matt yanks RVD off the ring apron onto his face again. I do believe that Hardy said that is V.1 which just made my night. RVD puts Hardy across the guard rail and hits his signature spinning leg drop on Matt's back. Van Dam throws Hardy back into the ring and Hardy hits RVD with a DDT while he was getting into the ring. Hardy picks up a two count and Rob rolls out of the ring. Matt comes outside and starts stomping away at RVD. Matt rolls RVD back into the ring and hits a leg drop on RVD's head and pins RVD for a two count. RVD tries to fight back against Hardy but Matt puts RVD in the Scar submission. RVD puts his foot on the rope breaking the hold. Hardy pins again for another 2 Count. Hardy puts RVD in a full nelson hold then hits a modified neck breaker for yet another 2 count. Matt goes to the second rope for a double axe handle but RVD hits a thrust kick to Hardy's chest. RVD starts to build momentum and hits a high thrust kick, then a high spinning heel kick and a modified Rolling Thunder into a standing moonsalt. RVD hits a Split Leg Moonsalt for a two count. Matt gets up and hits a Side Effect for a 2 count. RVD counters a Twist of Hate with another spin kick but before RVD can hit the Five Star Frog Splash, Hardy gets to the turnbuckle and the two men fight on the top rope. Hardy back body drops RVD off the tope and then misses a moonsalt. RVD gets to the top and hits the Five Star Frog Splash and RVD is the winner.

Ray comes out first and hits behind the stage props and Devon comes out but sees Ray coming from behind and starts beating on him. Devon is pummeling Ray all over the outside of the ring. I have a feeling this will have very little “wrestling.” Devon chokes Ray with a camera cable and then hits Ray with some kind of liquid. The Impact Zone is chant for Devon. Ray rolls into the ring and Devon throws some weapons into the ring. Devon hits Ray with a Singapour Cane and Ray begs him to not do that again. Ray hits Devon and tries for a cloths line but takes the cane right to the forehead. Devon throws the cane down and puts a chair over Ray's head. Before Devon can do anything his sons come out and accidentally distract Devon and Ray hits him in the back with a chair. Ray has some choice words for Devon's kids and then they get into the ring. Ray grabs a chain and threatens them but Devons fights Ray. Devons son grabs a trash can and hits Ray over the head. Devon goes to the top rope and hits his low blow head but or the What's Up. Devons son play the part of Brother Ray and they do the 1...2....3 GET THE TABLES. The crowd goes nuts and Devon brings the table into the ring. Devon gets hit with a low blow by Ray and Bully Ray handcuffs Devon to the turnbuckle. Devon's kids get back in the ring and Ray takes both of them out then tags one of the sons for the win. Since it is a street fight originally billed as Bully Ray vs Devon and his sons it is a legitimate win. Ray goes nuts and says to Devon “Oh My Brother Testify.” Devon pleads with Ray and he drops his chair but he picks up one of Devon's kids and hits a high angle power bomb sending one of Devon's kids through a table. Ray tells him that this happened because he is weak and then leaves the ring.They call for a stretcher and the Impact Zone has gone quiet while the medical staff takes care of his sons.

The crowd is firmly behind Kurt as the two men lock up. Kurt holds Jeff in a side headlock until Jeff gets to the ropes. Kurt allows Jeff to put him in a side headlock and Angle powers out of it. Kurt does the same thing but this time Angle hits a back suplex. Kurt is all over Jarrett so far in this match. Jarrett tries to to fight back but Kurt hits a snap suplex for a 2 count. Kurt starts pounding on Jarrett and throws him out of the ring right at Karin. Kurt calls Karin over as he punches away on Jeff. Karin slaps Kurt and in return Kurt pummels away on Jarrett even more fiercely. Pin for a 2 count. Kurt goes for a corner spear and Jeff moves out of the way and Kurt crashes into the post. Jeff starts working over Kurt's shoulder. Jarrett climbs the top rope and hits a cross body but Kurt rolls through the move and gets another 2 count. Jarrett is now in control of the match and continues to work on Angles shoulder. Jarrett again to the top but Kurt quickly gets up and hits a modified release fisherman suplex from the top rope. Jeff and Kurt start the back and forth punches before Kurt gets the upper hand again. Kurt hits a belly to belly over head suplex for 2. Kurt almost gets the Ankle Lock in for only a second. Kurt hits his three back suplexes and gets another 2 count. The Angle Slam misses and Jarrett tries the Stroke and Kurt counters into the Ankle Lock. Kurt hits the Angle Slam but Karin is distracting the ref. Jarrett hits a low blow on Kurt and then hits the Stroke but Kurt stops the possible 3 count. Jarretts tries for a second Stroke but Kurt throws him off but Jarrett crashes into the Ref. Karin distracts Kurt and Jarrett hits him from behind and then throws Kurt knee first into the steps and then slams his head twice into the steps. Jarrett gets a chair but Kurt hits Jeff in the gut. The ref stops Kurt from using ht echair and Jeff then Kurt get 2 counts respectively. Kari again distracts Kurt and Jeff hits a second rope Stroke once again for a 2 cont. Kurt gets up and hits another back suplex and the straps come down and Jeff taps to the Ankle lock just as the ref is distracted again by Karin. Kurt lets go of the Ankle Lock and Jeff cracks Kurt with the chair. Jarrett pins for the two count. Kurt tries a sunset flip but Jarrett counters the pin attempt and gets the 3 count.

Kurt takes off his boots and leaves them in the middle of the ring. Does this mean that Kurt really has had enough of this angle and this is a sign of Kurt's future retirement

Jeff comes down to the ring where this is already a ladder with his special ladder. Anderson skips his ramp mic drop entrance and comes straight to the ring. During the introduction Mr. Anderson makes the announcer say his last name twice.

The two men look up at the belt and Hardy spits in the face of Ken. Anderson punches Jeff and Hardy rolls out of the ring and goes for his ladder. Jeff tries the Twist of Hate but Ken throws Jeff into his special ladder. Jeff hits Anderson before he can bring the ladder into the ring and then Anderson does the same thing to Hardy. Anderson brings the ladder into the ring and Jeff hits a swinging neck breaker on the ladder. Jeff climbs the ladder but Anderson knocks the ladder down and hits a neck breaker on Jeff. Ken climbs the ladder and pulls Ken down before hitting the turnbuckle dropkick. Hardy drop kicks the ladder into Anderson's crotch. Jeff tries to throw Anderson into the ladder but Ken counters with a Russian leg sweep pulling Jeff back first into the ladder. Anderson brings in another ladder He climbs the second ladder but Jeff fights Anderson and then hits a sunset flip power bomb off the ladder. Jeff gets up firsts and puts the ladder in the corner. Jeff scoop slams Anderson and goes to the top rope for his leap frog leg drop. Anderson rolls out of the way and Jeff look like he landed back on his left leg. Anderson tries to throw Jeff into the first ladder but Hardy back body drops Anderson onto the ladder. Jeff uses the second rope to choke Anderson. Anderson starts to fight back but Jeff throws him out of the ring. Jeff goes and gets his special ladder, He tries to throw it into Anderson's face but Ken catches the ladder and throws it into Jeff. Jeff whips Anderson into the ring steps and then jumps from the steps into Anderson knocking Anderson into the crowd. Jeff rolls Ken back into the ring. Jeff tries for a front suplex but Anderson counters and suplexes Jeff into a ladder set against the ropes. Ken tries to climb a ladder to get the title but Jeff stops Anderson and hits a Twist of Hate. Jeff gets his ladder and bring it into the ring. Ken hits his Green Bay Plunge on Hardy into a ladder and then goes for the Kenton Bomb from the top rop and hits the back of his head on the ladder. Jeff climbs two ladders in the middle of the ring and Anderson chases him down and the two men start fighting at the top of the two ladders. Anderson goes for the Mic Check but the ladders move apart from each other and Anderson falls and Jeff hangs for a moment but falls into one of the ladders. I think the belt was supposed to fall with Jeff because Jeff suddenly dropkicks Anderson knocking his downed body out of the ring and he climbs the ladder rather quickly and takes the belt. Winner and new TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy.
